Have been wanting to travel to China and hold a juvenile Giant Panda, it’s one of those things you must do in life before going six feet under. So I’ve decided to do just that this year, planning a trip down to Chengdu and pay a visit to Bifengxia’s Panda breeding center. I’m currently planning my itinerary, jotting down potential place to visit such as Jiu Zhai Gou, The Great Wall, Yangtze River, etc. and see which of them will fit in my odd 10days+ visit. The traveling period will also be critical as I don’t like big crowd in peak season.
It will certainly be a challenge given that my Chinese is pretty piss poor but the chance to see a Panda up close and trying varieties of odd/famous cuisine is well worth the trouble. I’m also considering using a tour company to organize a custom and private package but I bet they are going to cost an arm and a leg.
