China here I come! Flights to and in around China booked! Accommodation in Beijing booked! What’s left are accommodation in Chengdu, JiuZhaiGou and also Visa application. Pretty much all geared up
I’ve plotted down my itinerary throughout the trip and it goes as follow:
Day 1
7 hours flight to Beijing from HCMC, touch down in mid afternoon. Scavenging for food at night.
Day 2
Early morning visit to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. Peking duck or Imperial dish for dinner?
Day 3
Early morning visit to Great Wall, doubt I’ll spend 3-5 hours there just looking at… walls, so will spend the rest of the day looking at antiques and trinkets back in Beijing.
Day 4
Afternoon flight to Chendgu, bout 2.5hours flight. Then a 2-3hours drive from the airport to our hotel near the Panda Breeding Center.
Day 5
Early morning visit to Panda Breeding Center, play + photo taking session with baby pandas. Depart in mid afternoon for JiuZhaiGou.
Day 6-7
Spending the whole day hiking/walking/crawling around JiuZhaiGou with whatever energy that’s left!
Day 8-9
Early flight back to Beijing and if time permits upon arrival will proceed to Panjiayuan Culture Market after checking into our Hotel (market close around 3pm+). Free for the rest of the day and the day after.
Day 10
Back in HCMC
As you can see, not much rushing about and just taking our sweet time. Of course we could rush it and get to visit a lot more places like Summer Palace, Terra Cotta Warriors, Shanghai, Tibet, Yangtze River, etc. but I’ll leave those for future trips back to China
