I’ve been itching to get my hands on Alienware’s M11x notebook since its introduction to the world earlier this year in CES 2010. I needed a new laptop, similar in weight to my current Lenovo X300 but powerful enough for gaming on-the-go. The thing that hold me back was the CPU which was only slightly better than X300′s, a measly Core 2 Duo 1.3GHz. While most will contest it’s the GPU that matters the thing is I’ve been living with X300′s Core 2 Duo 1.2GHz for more than 2 years and it barely manage to handle my daily routines (with zero gaming). Don’t get me wrong, X300 is still a brilliant notebook and remain one of my favorites but every sane man want his daily dosage of gaming :p
My wish came true when Dell announced a refresh for M11x with Intel Core i3/i5/i7 upgrade last month and to my surprise Dell Malaysia launched the offer last week. After much hesitation I’ve decided to go for it and put in an order (hesitated cause I’ve also ordered 2 iPads and I’m pretty skint now!) for a medium configuration i7 M11x. I’m now waiting for their confirmation and give me an estimation on delivery date. Fingers crossed 
Was informed my new laptop arrived yesterday in Malaysia! Unfortunately I have to wait till 13th July before I can get my hands on it
