Lenovo Thinkpad X300

Lenovo Thinkpad X300

Bought a Lenovo Thinkpad X300 last night near Guang Hwa at the price of NT$119,000, ouch! It was an impulsive buy, actually I didn’t really thought they would have the model I wanted as the X300 was considered a high end product and usually you would need to make an order and wait around a week.

Before we went around looking my TW colleague called up several vendors before hand and all came back with “no stock” reply. Basically I gave up the intention but my colleague spurs me on and said it wouldn’t hurt if we went around Guang Hwa checking up other brands while looking for the X300. So off we go! The first few shops gave us the same excuse, no one would keep high end model in stock due to fear of price drop. Then we spot a Lenovo shop just opposite the street and we went to have a look. Voila! The seller have the exact model, ordered by a client a week ago, and they are willing to let me have it first! Their reason is that if there’s a willing buyer on the spot they would rather sell it and order another replacement because 80% of the time a prospect buyer will not buy if there’s any waiting involved (to make an order).
