Operation Codename "Chow Chow"
There are plenty of dog breeders in HCMC but most of them are unethical to say the least, all they care about is making money and couldn’t care less about the health of their pups. Majority of the pups receive no vaccination at the point of sale and most are likely to be carrying dangerous disease/virus such as distemper and kennel cough.
You can easily purchase breeds such as Shih Tzu and Pekingese (toy dogs) for as low as $60-100, without papers, along the road side in Saigon. However if you’re looking for breeds such as Golden Retriever, Labrador, Rottweiler, and Doberman then best of luck.
I’ve been itching to get a dog in Vietnam for the last 3 years. I love dogs as I believe they provide the best medicine to release stress. My dream dog is a Siberian Husky which I plan on getting once I settle down back home in Sarawak, Malaysia, in a few years time. I even made an inquiry with the local Vet on whether if it’s possible to import a Husky to Sarawak, to my delight they said it’s possible!

After much consideration and discussion with my girlfriend we’ve decided to hunt for a Chow Chow. I tried for several days searching for a Chow Chow breeder in Thailand as it’s much closer to Vietnam thus less time spent on travel and less stress on the pup. Unfortunately the effort came to naught, however I did managed to find several respectable breeders in Philippines and have made contacts with them. As I’ll be traveling down to Manila soon for a few weeks, I’m planning to take the opportunity to visit some of the kennels and if schedule permits maybe attend a dog show or two. It won’t be an easy task bringing the pup back to Vietnam, certainly it may take 2-3 months to go through the whole process. Stay tuned!Man-Thing movies The Tigger Movie dvdrip Almost Heroes psp

how much do chow chow puppies run for?
May 13th, 2008 at 4:22 pm
A chow pup can be as affordable as US$200 to as ridiculously high as US$3,000. A pup with a good pedigree coming from champ line can easily command US$1,500.

You can try searching for Chows dedicated websites, one of them being http://www.netchows.com/ which have a list of well known breeders all over the world. But I do recommend researching further on any kennel, making sure they are not puppy mill!

I know how hard it is to find a respectable Chow Chow breeder. Where I live there is only 1 AKC registered breeder, and we have to try to find one because my female died about 3 weeks ago and my male needs some company.
Anyways, to those of you who are just going on looks and saying that they are extremely cute, please keep this in mind, they are NOT toy dogs. These are guardian dogs that take loyalty very seriously and they prefer to only stay with 1 family thier entire lives. They’re very territorial and do not tolerate other animals on the property unless they have been introduced to them as a puppy. (believe me, my family went through about a dozen cats before my female learned that she couldn’t kill them all the time). But they are the best dogs I have ever had. We’re on our 3rd Chow and looking for our 4th one.
Good luck to you

Also, you have to realize that they are little bit of high maintenance grooming wise. They shed from July to October, and they can put out a lot of hair (I’m talking garbage bags full). Plus they also have history of becoming deaf, hip displacia, and some have an eyelid disease. So please make sure that you are willing to look after them properly and in return, they will be loyal forever.

hi. I have been trying to find a chowchow pup… again… and i saw ur site…
he is very cute and i miss mine. he died when he was still 5 months and i cried my tears out. i was a mess then…
my doctors (i have a spinal operation)and friends advises me not to get a chow cause they are big dogs but i love him too much…
i now have a toy dog, a shih tzu. love her too but not as much as my chow. she now have 5 pups. maybe you know somebody who has a chow pup who is willing to swap with shih tzu pups. they all have complete papers and vaccination.

Aquired one in 2004 in South Africa for +-$36,00
{tranlated from local currency} Was runt of litter and breeder traded him at petshop for dogfood
Most possibly the most loving dog breed.
He has a funny allergy flee bites. We live in sandy area ie lots of sand fleas an have to treat him preventatively every 30 days or so.
He is named Adoons (Afrikaans name of baboon in old cartoon)
